HOGG MINE June 13 Through July 12, 2008 Troup County, Lagrange, Georgia
I have not taken many pictures on the last few field trips to the Hogg Mine. Rodney has been digging at the mine on a regular basis with his backhoe. Fresh material is coming up weekly and I have been too busy digging myself to remember to reach for the camera. I'll try to be more diligent in this regard, but with the material available to be found it will be difficult. As can be seen from the pictures that I did manage to take, rose quartz, beryl and tourmaline have been found in abundance the past few weeks. Despite the heat, now is a very good time to make a trip to the Hogg. For details and directions see Rodney's field trip page at www.dixieeuhedrals.com.
The following pictures are from June 13 through July 12, 2008 and as I said, I could have taken far more if I was not distracted by my own efforts at finding some of this stuff.
